People mingled and gasped in delight as they wandered through the recently unveiled “Bel Vino House” at Bel Vino Winery.
The intimate gathering was held on the evening of May 17 at the hilltop winery.
Owners Mike and Debbie Janko renovated the house which sits adjacent to the tasting and barrel rooms to create an elegant space to have weddings, parties and other special events.
“We wanted to create a place that people would love to be in,” Mike Janko said. “We even used artificial turf outside so women’s high heels wouldn’t sink and dresses wouldn’t get dirty.”

The winery sits on a breezy hill overlooking vineyards and the rolling landscape of wine country.
“Look at this amazing view,” Debbie Janko said. “We are situated on the highest hilltop in wine country.”
The spruced-up 3,000 square foot home has been professionally decorated and resembles a large luxury suite at a five-star resort. There are wet bars throughout and top-notch accessories.
The entire house can be rented out or one of the individual rooms can be rented.
“Another great feature of this venue is we have ample parking,” Mike Janko said. “Most wineries out here have parking issues and we can accommodate up to 150 cars.”
The Janko’s purchased the winery from the Stuart family last year after they spent time in wine country and fell in love with the area.
“It is just so incredibly beautiful here,” Debbie said.
The new owners are hoping their new facility will woo brides and people looking to celebrate any occasion.
“We have two different areas that can be set up for weddings and our barrel room is perfect for a reception or even corporate events,” Mike explained.
He added that the different areas offer totally different views.
“This is really gorgeous,” longtime Temecula resident Mark Lewis said. “They way they appointed this place is really stunning.”
A cool fog bank creeped into the valley as the evening came to a close. Several guests lingered on the front patio to soak in the view one last time.
“This view is absolutely breathtaking,” Lewis added with a smile.
