California High Patrol is on the scene of a three-car crash that occurred on southbound Interstate 15, just south of Rancho California Road in Temecula.

The collision was reported at 6:02 p.m.
Calfire Captain Aaron Martinez said that one person suffered major injuries requiring immediate care.
A second motorist is being treated for minor injuries.
According to a CHP report, a SigAlert has been issued for the number four and five lanes.
Traffic is moving slowly, and is backed up to Winchester Road.
