Hiker found dead on Palm Springs trail identified

The Coroner’s Office today identified a hiker found dead along the Museum Trail in Palm Springs as a 54-year-old San Pedro man.

The body of Mark Alexander was found Friday about 6:45 p.m., according to a department statement.

The cause of death has not been established yet, according to the coroner’s office.
