Stanley Cup Finals tickets to go on sale Thursday

Tickets for the Stanley Cup finals games at Staples Center will go on sale Thursday to American Express cardholders.

A presale for Los Angeles Kings full season ticket holders will begin at 10 a.m. Friday.

Fans can register for the opportunity to purchase tickets for the Stanley Cup finals at lakings.com/playoffs.

Further information regarding a potential general public sale for Stanley Cup finals tickets will be forthcoming, the team announced following its 4-3 overtime victory over the Phoenix Coyotes Tuesday night in Glendale, Ariz., to win the Western Conference finals, four games to one.

Fans interested in securing tickets for the Stanley Cup finals can place a deposit on a full season ticket package for the 2012-23 season online at LAKings.com/playoffs or by calling (888) KINGS-LA.

Private suites accommodating 12-132 people are available for purchase by calling (888) KINGS-LA.

The Kings sold out 37 of their 39 regular-season games at Staples Center and all six playoff games.

The Kings will begin their second appearance in the Stanley Cup finals next Wednesday on the road against the Eastern Conference champion.   The New Jersey Devils defeated the New York Rangers, 5-3, tonight at Madison Square Garden to take a three games to two lead in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference finals. Game 6 will be played Friday at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.

Game 2 of the Stanley Cup finals will be played June 2 at the Eastern Conference champion’s arena.

Game 3 will be played at Staples Center June 4 and Game 4 June 6.

Game 5, if necessary, would be played June 9 at the Eastern Conference champion’s arena. Game 6, if necessary, would be played June 11 at Staples Center.

Game 7, if necessary, would be played June 13 at the Eastern Conference champion’s arena.

The Kings’ other appearance in the Stanley Cup finals came in 1993 when they lost to the Montreal Canadiens.
