Driver killed in early morning crash on I-215 in Murrieta

A driver in a Chevrolet Malibu died in a wreck on Interstate 215 in Murrieta today, the California Highway Patrol said.

The southbound car veered off the freeway, went down an embankment and crashed in some bushes just north of Clinton Keith Road shortly after 4:40 a.m., according to the CHP.

A Riverside County coroner’s investigator was sent to pick up the body.
