One person was killed in a three-vehicle crash in Thermal this afternoon, a county fire department spokeswoman said.
The collision was reported shortly after 3 p.m. at Avenue 62 and Grapefruit Boulevard.
The fatally injured victim had to be extricated from a vehicle and died at the scene, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson said.
Another person was transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries, Hendrickson said.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
