Moreno Valley man robbed of pizzas reportedly left brain dead

A pizza delivery man who was overpowered and robbed during a delivery in Moreno Valley, was left brain dead by the attack, KABC-7 reported today.

Investigators said that the Pizza Hut delivery man, 36-year-old Patrick Kasper, went to a house in the 22800 block of Adrienne Avenue carrying $90 worth of food on Thursday night.

Kasper told deputies he was ambushed after knocking on the door and later told family members that two to three teenagers attacked him, punched him, knocked him out and stole the food. When deputies went to investigate, they found the house was vacant.

KABC reported that on Friday, Kasper’s mother heard him in his bedroom struggling to breathe. He was rushed to the hospital, but doctors told the family that he had suffered a severe aneurysm in his brain and that he was pronounced legally brain dead.

According to KABC, Kasper’s family said he was on life support at Riverside County Regional Medical Center in Moreno Valley.

The family said they decided to donate his organs.

Kasper is the father of an 11-year-old girl.

His attackers remained at large today.

Authorities urged anyone with information to call the Moreno Valley Police Department at (951) 247-8700.

I am so sorry for his family. I hope they catch the thugs that did this. My husband was also attacked while working for Pizza Hut, he was beaten too but he is ok now. He had to go to the hospital for a broken nose and had stitches in his chin. What is wrong with these people that they just took away a little girls father for free pizza. Karma is all I can say to this. I hope it bites you back big time.

Seems like our leaders can’t fix this great recession so we better start building more and more prisons so they don’t have to let them out early from overcrowding…

  • Please people, go to the hospital right away after a head injury.
And request a full work up so they can rule out the potential for a blood clot. This is the same thing that killed Miranda Richardson.

Friends and family, please do not accept a no for the injured person.
I was lucky, a door fell on my head years ago. I was sort of numb.
I was so out of it, that my neighbor, had to agree to buy me an ice cream cone, after the visit to ER. I never recovered fully from amnesia and my short term memory is lousy. But, I did get help from a good Dr. So I am as good as I am going to get.

May the family of this innocent man find peace,in knowing they are
    helping others.

How sad. This same thing happened to a family friend–he was in a fight, came home and went to bed. Died from aneurysm that night in his sleep.

My heart goes out to him and his family.
