Eight great things to do this Father’s Day

Riverside County is full of fun things to keep Dad busy this Father’s Day which falls on Sunday, June 17. From fishing to Indy style go-cart racing, Dad is sure to find special things to do.

Adams Motorsports Park

Let Dad unleash his inner Jeff Gordon at the race track. Located in Riverside for 50 years, Adams Motorsports has been bringing speed into the lives of go-cart enthusiasts for many years. The track offers kart racing, drifting, pocket bikes, mini-moto, motorcycles and supermoto racing. The track is open seven days a week and even offers a racing academy. Racers at any level are welcome.

Black Market Brewing Co.

If Dad loves beer, then treat him to a frosty pint of hand crafted amber liquid. Located in the industrial section of Temecula, Black Market Brewing Co. is a small production brewery that churns out hand crafted ales. They hand-select malt, hops, yeast and water to produce the finest beer possible. Their tasting room is casual, relaxed and often filled with laughter. The brewery is open seven days a week.

Brewligion

Another Inland Empire beer favorite is Brewligion. Two best friends started this Temecula brewery and restaurant that features a wide selection of hand crafted brews. The laid back atmosphere, coupled with gourmet food and cold beer is sure to pamper that special Dad in your life.SWRNN Eight Great

Bel Vino Winery

Sweeping views of Temecula’s wine country await Dad on his special day at this hilltop winery. Bel Vino promises delicious wines, live music and good company. Located on Rancho California Road, Bel Vino has become a local favorite. Connoisseurs and beginners alike are welcome at this local favorite winery.

Lake Skinner

If Dad likes to fish and enjoy a lazy day on the water then Lake Skinner may the perfect place to unwind and enjoy some serious rest and relaxation. Nestled in the hills of Winchester, Lake Skinner offers 1,400 acres of surface water and is stocked with Striped Bass, Largemouth Bass, Carp and Bluegill year round. Boat rentals are available as are BBQ’s, walking paths and a new splash pad for cooling off.

Pechanga

Pechanga Resort and Casino is chock-full of fun things to enjoy. Golfing, restaurants, a luxurious spa, entertainment and, of course, gambling await Dad. Even when there aren’t headlining shows Pechanga offers and endless array of exciting things to do.

Temeku Hills Golf and Country Club

There is no shortage of golf courses in Southwest Riverside County. With mild, year-round temperatures, the region is perfect for golf enthusiasts. Temeku Hills has been a favorite among golfers since it opened in 1995. The Ted Robinson-designed course offers rolling hills, five lakes, numerous doglegs and four sets of tees to accommodate all levels of experience. The course also features a restaurant and bar to fill up after a fun day of play. The course is public.

Wood Ranch Restaurant

Let Wood Ranch work the grill for Dad this Father’s Day. Tucked in the Dos Lagos outdoor shopping mall sits a BBQ haven where people clamor for down home cooking. All of their barbecue dishes are prepared in a special two-step process. First, the meats are slow-roasted overnight, then the items are grilled and sauced to order over a blazing mesquite wood fire. Reservations are recommended for Father’s Day.
