The Date Palm Drive bridge over Interstate 10 will be closed until at least 8 a.m. today while crews pour concrete on the bridge, according to the project’s construction engineer.
The bridge at Date Palm was scheduled to close at midnight, and Date Palm Drive was slated to reopen shortly after the bridge.
The eastbound and westbound onramps and offramps will stay open, but traffic cannot cross the bridge, according to construction engineer Peter Lopez.
“The contractor has set up changeable message signs with advance notice so that traffic can plan to avoid this area during this time,” Lopez said.
