UPDATE: Four people were injured and one person died in the single vehicle accident, officials reported.
ORIGINAL STORY: Four people were seriously injured this afternoon in a rollover crash in Menifee.
The single-vehicle wreck happened around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Junipero Road and McCall Boulevard, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
The driver of a sedan apparently lost control, causing the car to overturn. All four occupants of the vehicle were rushed by ambulance to a hospital with extensive injuries, sheriff’s officials said.
McCall Boulevard was shut down at the location to accommodate crash scene investigators. It was not immediately clear when it would be reopened.
