Temecula Mayor’s Beach Ball Block Party

Comedy at the Merc

Champagne Jazz at Thornton Winery

As the sun sets, spirits rise for Thornton Winery’s celebrated Summer Champagne Jazz series. This weekend, jazz aficionados are treated to the Euge Groove and Down to the Bone beginning at 4 p.m. on June 10. General admission is $55.  Gourmet supper packages are available for $120.

Russell Peters

45000 Pechanga Parkway, Temecula

Funny guy Russell Peters will deliver the laughs at part of his 2012 World Tour. Two shows are planned — 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. on June 9 at Pechanga Resort & Casino.

Reggae in the Vines

If tribute bands are what toots your horn, then check out Hey Day Productions’ upcoming summer series that brings the familiar sounds of your favorite groups to the stage. This week? Reggae in the Vines from 6 to 10 p.m. on June 8 at Longshadow Ranch Winery. Tickets only $5 online or $10 at the door.

Avocado Dance Theatre

Shakespeare in the Vines

Shakespeare in the Vines will return in June to Temecula wine country for its eagerly-awaited seventh season. “The Complete History of America (abridged)” will run May 31 (preview), June 8- 9 at 7:30 p.m., and June 3 and 10 at 6:30 p.m. at Europa Village Winery.

Music at the Merc

Music is always happening at The Merc in Old Town Temecula. Friday’s feature good old fashioned rock ‘n roll and Saturday’s go country at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15. Then, it’s Classics at The Merc at 3 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $11.
