San Diego: Trolley strikes, kills pedestrian

A trolley struck and killed a pedestrian in downtown San Diego Thursday evening.

The fatal accident occurred at Seventh Avenue and C Street in the Core-Columbia district shortly before 5:30 p.m., according to police.

The age and gender of the victim and further details about the fatality were not immediately available, SDPD Officer David Stafford said.
