Hemet: Pedestrian struck, killed by car

A pedestrian was fatally struck by a car today in Hemet.

The woman, whose identity was not released, was hit in the 42000 block of Highway 74 around 4:30 a.m., according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

She was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

The California Highway Patrol was investigating the woman’s death.
