A Rancho Mirage man who crashed his black 2007 Jaguar into a parked car was behind bars today, booked into the Indio Jail on suspicion of drunken driving, a sheriff’s department spokesman said.
The crash happened just before 11 a.m. Saturday at the corner of Paris Way and Cartier Court within the gated community of Versailles in Rancho Mirage, said sheriff’s Sgt. Dave Eichelt.
Security guards witnessed the crash and held the driver, Mohender Narula, 49, until deputies arrived, according to Eichelt.
Narula complained of pain and was treated at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage before being booked, Eichelt said.
