Fire crews today finished putting out a wildfire that had burned about 80 acres in the Valle Vista area east of Hemet, a fire department spokeswoman said.
“The fire was declared out at about 8 a.m.,” said Jody Hagemann of the fire department. “There is no one left on the scene.”
The blaze broke out along Indian Creek Road near the Soboba Indian Reservation about 5:30 p.m. Friday in an area that is accessible only by fire roads.
No homes or structures were threatened.
CalFire and U.S. Forest Service crews aided Riverside County fire crews.
The cause of the fire was being investigated, Hagemann said.
