A 34-year-old woman died after she was struck by a pickup truck at a Riverside intersection, authorities said today.
The victim, whose identity was not immediately released, was hit around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, on Tyler Street, just north of Kidd Street, according to Riverside police.
Sgt. Phil Neglia said the woman was crossing Tyler Street when the driver of a GMC pickup, who apparently failed to see her, struck her down.
The woman was rushed to Riverside Community Hospital, where she was pronounced dead less than an hour later.
The motorist was not arrested, but the investigation is continuing, Neglia said.
