Shed pounds or belt a tune: ‘The Voice,’ ‘Biggest Loser’ to host open casting calls

Two prime time reality shows will be holding open casting calls and auditions in Southern California.

People looking to drop unwanted weight, clean up their diets and improve their health can attend an open casting call for NBC’s highly-rated show “The Biggest Loser.”

The show is in its 13th season and has helped many people shed hundreds of pounds.

People who want to audition for the show can do so  from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m on June 16 at the Boys and Girls Club in the Venice area of Los Angeles.

San Diego auditions will be held from 10 a.m – 6 p.m. on July 21 at the Naval Training Center Venues at Liberty Station in Point Loma.

Casting directors promise to do their best to see everyone and ask that people bring a photo of themselves from when they were thinner, prom king or queen or participating in a sporting event.

Songbirds will have a shot at wowing casting directors at open auditions for the hit show “The Voice”  on Aug. 11-12 in Los Angeles.

The past two seasons,  the popular singing show featured  Temecula Valley residents, Lee Koch and Xenia Martinez.  Neither won the contest, but gained dedicated fans and continue to sing professionally.
