WBO President Francisco Valcarcel said in a statement that the organization’s championship committee will meet soon with five international judges to evaluate film of the match and “make its recommendation according to the rules.”

The fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas ended in a split decision in favor of Bradley, and promoter Bob Arum soon called for an investigation. One judge scored the fight for Pacquiao and two for Bradley.

“I want to clarify that in no way this says that we are doubting the capacity of these judges, which we consider as honest and competent judges,” Valcarcel said in his statement.

Cathedral City has scheduled a rally Saturday night to celebrate Bradley’s win. The fighter was born in Cathedral City and graduated from Cathedral City High School.
