One person died today in a rollover crash on eastbound Interstate 10 near Desert Center, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
The crash was reported about 8:10 a.m. on eastbound I-10 east of Red Cloud Mine Road. One person was confirmed dead, and authorities on scene reported a child standing on the side of the road, CHP Officer Donovan Rice said.
It was unclear if there were other injuries, but there were five people in the vehicle and two were trapped, according to Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson.
Two helicopters were en route about 9 a.m.

Please pray for my family. There were only 4 in the vehicle.
