A skydiver’s rough landing near Perris Valley Airport today prompted calls to 911, but the man walked away without injuries.
The hard landing was reported around 2:10 p.m. in a field just east of the airport, located at Goetz and Case roads.
Riverside County sheriff’s deputies who went to the scene reported that the parachutist was fine and did not require medical attention.
In February, a San Diego man died during a skydiving competition at the airport.
That fatality followed four in 2011, including a fatal collision involving two instructors who became intertwined during a jump.
