Frank Wyatt Kelly was being held in lieu of $1 million bail after being booked Friday into the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta on suspicion of multiple counts of sexual assault, sexual assault during the commission of a burglary and robbery, said Murrieta police Sgt. Phil Gomez.

The alleged assaults took place Wednesday afternoon when Kelly offered to help the 60-year-old victim as she was unloading items from her vehicle into a garage, Gomez said.

“Kelly eventually left, but later returned, entered the woman’s residence without permission and sexually assaulted her, taking money from the victim prior to leaving,” Gomez said.   “Approximately two hours later, Kelly returned to the woman’s residence, entered without permission and again sexually assaulted her.”

The victim reported the incidents on Thursday, and Kelly was arrested Friday as he left his residence in western Murrieta, Gomez said.
