The Tony Award winning musical “Wicked” is returning to San Diego and promoters will be giving out $25 tickets in lottery-style fashion. The performances run from June 20 – July 15 at the San Diego Civic Theater.
In order to qualify for the lottery, people need to put their names in a lottery drum two hours before each performance at the Civic Theater box office.
Thirty minutes after, names will be drawn for a limited number of orchestra seats for $25 each, cash only.
To enter the lottery, participants must enter in person at the box office and have valid photo identification.
“Wicked” tells the back story of Glinda the good witch and her sister, Elpheba the wicked witch of the west before Dorothy and her entourage come into the picture.
The musical recently had a record breaking run at the Pantages Theater in Los Angeles and other major cities with crowds lining up for blocks to see the action packed show.
