Deputies made three arrests during an overnight drunken driving/driver’s license checkpoint that ended today in San Jacinto, according to a sheriff’s department spokesman.

The checkpoint at Ramona Expressway and Lyon Avenue ran from 8 p.m. Friday until 3 a.m. today, said sheriff’s Sgt. Ken Southern.

One person was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, another on suspicion of drug possession and a third on other criminal charges, Southern said.

In addition, 14 vehicles were stored and 24 unlicensed and suspended drivers were sent to court, he said.
