Santa Monica: Superior Court judge missing

Santa Monica Superior Court Judge Linda Kay Lefkowitz was missing tonight, police said.

Lefkowitz, 71, has not been seen since leaving her Pacific Palisades home this morning to go to work at the Santa Monica Courthouse, police said.

Lefkowitz was driving a silver 2001 Mercedes-Benz E320 four-door sedan with the license plate 4SX6787. She is 5 feet 3 inches tall, 130 pounds and was wearing black pants with a blue and white blouse.

Her family said Lefkowitz recently started chemotherapy treatments for breast cancer and was warned a side effect of the treatments can be forgetfulness, according to KCAL9.

Anyone with information about Lefkowitz’s whereabouts was asked to call the LAPD’s Missing Person’s Unit at (213) 996-1800.
