A man was stabbed today during a confrontation outside a Coachella residence, but the assailant eluded capture.
The attack happened around 11:45 a.m. in the 86700 block of Naomi Court, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies were summoned to the location to investigate reports of a disturbance, and upon arriving, found a man on the ground bleeding from a stab wound to his upper body, according to sheriff’s Deputy Angel Ramos.
The victim was hospitalized in stable condition, he said, adding that a search for the suspect yielded no clues as to his whereabouts.
The man was described as Hispanic, between 25 and 30 years old, about 5-foot-6, wearing a tan shirt and unknown-color pants.
