Fast food order goes awry; man arrested for stabbing in Hemet

Law enforcement officials have arrested a man in connection with an assault with a deadly weapon, it was reported today.

Gabriel Villalba, 28, was arrested after an argument at a fast food restaurant over a discrepancy with the food order escalated to a physical confrontation, according to a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department report.

The customer who brought the complaint was stabbed in the abdomen by an employee with a knife shortly before 2  a.m. on June 21 in the 41000 block of East Florida Avenue  in East Hemet, the report said.

Friends immediately transported the victim to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. He is expected to survive.

Villalba was booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning.
