Three people are behind bars after leading Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies on a short high-speed chase, officials reported.
Deputies responded to a call regarding a stolen car on Sunday June 24 at about 4 p.m. in the Morongo Casino Resort and Spa parking garage.
Surveillance footage showed three adults exiting the casino and drive off in the vehicle.
When deputies ordered the suspects to stop and exit the car, they sped out of the parking garage crashing into another car. They kept driving until the driver lost control of the stolen car and plunged into a small ravine, Sgt. Fortney stated.
Highland residents, 24-year-old Alexander Sicairos, 25-year-old Kristopher Oliveira and 22-year-old Brittany Patterson were uninjured in the accident and were immediately arrested.
They were booked in the Larry Smith Correctional Facility on charges related to vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.
Anyone with additional details regarding this incident is urged to contact the Cabazon Sheriff’s Station at 951-922-7100.
