There were no tickets sold with all six numbers in tonight’s drawing of the multi-state Mega Millions lottery and the estimated jackpot for Tuesday’s drawing will grow to $86 million.
Tickets with five numbers, but missing the Mega number, were sold at Bob’s Liquor at 17315 Saticoy St. in Northridge, a Circle K store at 3899 E. Riverdale Ave. in Anaheim and a USA Gasoline station in Fremont in Northern California and each are worth $91,367, a California Lottery official announced.
Another ticket with five numbers, but missing the Mega number, was sold in Michigan and is worth $250,000.
California law requires major payoffs of lottery games to be paid on a pari-mutuel basis.
The numbers drawn tonight were 28, 34, 39, 45, 53 and the Mega number was 34. The estimated jackpot was $75 million.
The drawing was the ninth since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number is 1 in 175,711,536, according to the Mega Millions website. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 40.
The Mega Millions game is played in 42 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
