Emergency crews rescued a woman today who had become injured while hiking a trail near Tahquitz Rock in the Idyllwild area, a county fire department spokeswoman said.
At 2:20 p.m., members of the county fire department, the Idyllwild Fire Protection District and the sheriff’s Mountain Area Rescue Team were dispatched to the remote area northwest of Idyllwild, according to Jody Hagemann of the fire department.
The woman was rescued at 4:45 p.m. and taken by ambulance to an area hospital in stable condition, she said.
