Juveniles suspected of burglarizing Jurupa Valley middle school

Deputies spotted three teenage boys in the act of trying to steal property from a Jurupa Valley middle school, and arrested two of them for suspicion of burglary while a third ran away, a sheriff’s spokesman said today.

Deputies were alerted by a burglar alarm at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday, and arrived at Mission Middle School at 5961 Mustang Lane in time to see the three boys leaving the school with property taken from the classrooms, Elia said.

When they tried to run, one of the boys got away. But deputies identified him and expected to arrest him later, according to sheriff’s Sgt. Andrew Elia.

The two boys that were arrested were booked into Riverside Juvenile Hall for suspicion of burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary, he said.

All of the property taken during the burglary was recovered and taken back to the school, Elia said.
