Motorist killed in crash in Rubidoux

Someone died in a collision involving a tractor-trailer on the westbound Pomona (60) Freeway in Rubidoux.

A passenger vehicle and a big rig collided east of Valley about 10:35 p.m. Saturday, a Jody Hagemann of the Riverside County Fire Department said.

Aside from the person killed, a second person was taken to a hospital with what Hagemann called moderate injuries.

All westbound lanes were temporarily closed to accommodate the investigation and cleanup.
