Indio: Several people injured in freeway crash

A vehicle went off the 10 Freeway in Indio, injuring seven people, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatcher.

The crash was reported at 6:21 p.m. on Sunday July 8 on the eastbound 10 Freeway between Monroe and Jefferson streets, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Jody Hagemann said in statement.

A total of seven people suffered injuries, one moderate and six minor, Hagemann said.

They were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
