A parolee and two alleged accomplices in a Temecula burglary that culminated in a vehicle and foot chase were behind bars today.

Martin Miguel Gurrola, 20, and Renee Butterfield, 39 — both of Temecula — as well as Christina Elizabeth Young, 19, of Lake Elsinore are accused of breaking into a residence in the 45600 block of Caminito Olite Street on Wednesday morning.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the homeowner called deputies shortly before 2 a.m. after confronting three people in his garage. He said one of the suspects pulled a knife, threatening him with it, before all three fled in a Toyota FJ Cruiser.
About an hour later, a homeowner on Alpine Place, about a mile away, called 911 to report three suspicious persons snooping around his backyard. He said the suspects jumped into a Toyota FJ Cruiser and fled the scene when he approached them.
Deputies responding to the call came across the suspects’ vehicle and attempted to stop it on Temecula Parkway, at which point the driver jumped the center median and sped away in the opposite direction, according to sheriff’s officials.
The driver lost control and crashed at Temecula Parkway and Jeddediah Smith Place. The vehicle was later determined to be stolen, according to the sheriff’s department.
The occupants of the FJ Cruiser — Butterfield, Young and a teenage girl — were treated at the scene for minor injuries and arrested. The juvenile was later released to her parents.
Around 7 a.m., deputies were sent to investigate reports of a prowler in the area of Antelope Place and Wolf Valley Road and found Gurrola walking behind houses. He allegedly fled from a K9 unit, which located him hiding in a backyard, where he was arrested after being bitten by the police dog.
After being treated for his bite wound, Gurrola was booked into the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta on suspicion of parole violations,
robbery and burglary. He’s being held without bail.
Young was booked into the Smith Correctional Facility in Banning on suspicion of receiving stolen property, conspiracy and burglary. She’s also being held without bail.
Butterfield was booked on the same allegations at the Southwest Detention Center.
Bail information was not immediately available.
