Residents are invited to take part in a historical docent guided tour of Old Town Temecula and feel the early 1900’s come to life.
The tour departs from the Temecula Valley Museum at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 14th with docent Dale Garcia.
Guests will hear colorful stories and learn about events from our past, including the fact that Temecula business owner Joe Winkels entertained legends Jack Dempsey, Jack Sharkey and Fatty Arbuckle at the Ramona Inn.
There is also the tales of Temecula’s first bank and its daring bank robbery and Temecula’s most famous author.
Temecula has a long and interesting history, despite the fact that the city did not have a traffic light until the mid-1980s.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Cost is $2.

This tour is really worth going for. Dale does a great job at story and history telling, plus it is at a good pace. As him about the night tours too. Those are pretty fun if u like scary stories. Do ask about the locations of the sarcophagus and the indian burial grounds nearby and check them out after the tour.
