The four-day Comic-Con International trade show will conclude today with panel discussions and events, ranging from a discussion of Christian-themed comics to a celebration of 20 years of “Buffy The Vampire Slayer.”

The convention brought about 130,000 fans of comic books, superheroes, television programs and feature films to San Diego, filling area hotel rooms and restaurants.
Members of the “Glee” cast — Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Jenna Ushkowitz and Naya Rivera and Dareen Criss — were at Comic-Con Saturday to promote the upcoming third season of the hit Fox show. They divulged that Kate Hudson would guest star in the new season, and that one episode would pay tribute to Britney Spears.

One of the highlights this year came Friday, when Mercedes Becerra of Paso Robles won a flight from XCOR Aerospace.
The flight was originally offered to actor Simon Helberg, whose character on “The Big Bang Theory,” Howard, blasted into space at the end of
last season. He turned it down, however, and Becerra won it in a random drawing of attendees who answered questions at a panel discussion with the cast of the situation comedy.
Also on tap today are several sessions about books for middle-grade readers, the San Diego International Children’s Film Festival, and an appearance by the cast of the BBC America program “Doctor Who.”
