An armed robber wearing a red mask got away with an undisclosed amount of money early today from a convenience store in an unincorporated area southeast of El Cajon, sheriff’s officials said.
The robbery was reported about 1:40 a.m. at the 7-Eleven at Jamacha Road and Chase Avenue, according to sheriff’s Lt. Dave Brown.
The male suspect, who was armed with a gun, got away with an undisclosed amount, Brown said. No injuries were reported.
The employee locked himself in a back room of the store and called for help, Brown said.
