Palm Springs Air Museum to hold children’s workshop

The Palm Springs Air Museum will host the “Early Days of Flight,” a workshop for children, next Wednesday.

The workshop begins at 1:30 p.m. in the Buddy Rogers Theater at the museum, 745 N. Gene Autry Trail.

Topics covered will include aviators Charles Lindbergh, Amelia Earhart and Bessie Coleman. Children also will have the opportunity to participate in science activities, such as learning how to make a compass and how to use lightning and thunder to determine distance from a storm.

The workshop and an activity booklet are included with museum admission, which ranges from $8 to $15. Children 5 and younger and active military with identification are admitted free.
