More than 33,00 square feet of land at the southeast corner of Highway 111 and East Veldt is available for purchase and development, with proposals due Aug. 27.
The property is across from The River shopping area.
The proposal process is designed to “identify and engage the most qualified and experienced potential buyers while setting parameters for purchase in such a way as to encourage reinvestment in the property with long-term benefits to the community and affected taxing entities,” according to a city statement.
Proposals are required to address purchase price, development, analysis of infill development and economic and fiscal impacts, proposed financing and the proposer’s qualifications, according to the city.
The request for proposals is at www.ranchomirageca.gov. Curt Watts, economic development director for the city, can be reached at CurtW@RanchoMirageCA.gov or (760) 324-4511.
