The City Council Tuesday will declare July to be Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month in the city of San Diego.

The proclamation, to be presented by Councilman Todd Gloria, calls San Diego a “trailblazing city,” led by Mayor Jerry Sanders, who frequently speaks out on behalf of marriage equality.
The council meeting and declaration will come three days before the 38th annual Pride Weekend begins.
Events are scheduled to begin Friday when a rainbow flag is raised up a 65-foot pole in Hillcrest, the center of the city’s LGBT community.
The Pride Parade is set for Saturday at 11 a.m., running along University Avenue in Hillcrest and Sixth Avenue to Balboa Park, the site of a weekend-long entertainment festival.
Comic Sandra Bernhard will be the headliner at the festival Saturday night.
Sunday night, the festival will wrap up with a performance by British singer Natasha Bedingfield.

Really? It should be called a “Tail Blazin’” city. So how do I explain sexuality to my 6 yr old when he asks me why two men are kissing in public. C’mon man! This is headed in the wrong direction. So when is Bearded Lady day; or Men with alligator skin day? Yes, these people are freaks of nature. They have a right to be with whomever they wish, but leave me an my 6 yr old out of it. I don’t fondle my wife in public. Why should these freaks get away with it.
Wes, if you have such a problem with gays kissing out in public, then keep your kids inside and shelter them from the world. If your kids ask about two men or two women kissing, tell your kid that it is 2 people in love and that love is not wrong. The problem with the world today is not the gays, it is people teaching their children intolerance. It has never been wrong to love. By the way, the gay community is not freaks. The freaks are the “christians” out in the world that are teaching intolerance and hatred. Christians should stop trying to force their religon in our faces. In other words, stop being so damn STUPID!!!!
