Temecula Police Department officials are investigating an allegation of unlawful sexual contact with a minor under the age of 14 in June have made an arrest, it was reported today.
Riverside resident Manuel Espinoza Jr., 18, was identified and arrested by police for suspected sexual misconduct, according to a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department report.
The incident took place on June 21 in a field near Butterfield Stage and La Serena Way in Temecula, the report said.
He was taken into custody without incident at about 6: 45 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18 at his Riverside residence.
Espinoza was later booked into the Southwest Detention Center for contacting a minor for the purpose of committing a sexual offense, and unlawful sexual contact with a minor under the age of 14, officials said.
