Celebrate Recovery Canyon Lake will mark its fifth anniversary with “An Evening of Praise, Worship & Comedy” featuring professional comedian Thor Ramsey on at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 11 at Canyon Lake Community Church, it was recently announced.

Ramsey is currently the teaching pastor at Canyon Lake Community Church’s Threshold service.
Celebrate Recovery Canyon Lake began at Canyon Lake Community Church in August of 2007 and is a ministry led by volunteers who have a passion for “paying it forward.”
The evening will also include music by “In Better Hands” –- a group comprised of individuals who have been personally impacted and involved in the Celebrate Recovery ministry.
Celebrate Recovery was founded in 1991 by Pastor John Baker of Saddleback Church with the goal of assisting others in overcoming life’s struggles with a 12-step program based on Christian principles. It is a program designed to help those struggling with hurts, hang-ups and habits by showing them the loving power of Jesus Christ through the recovery process.
Celebrate Recovery is for anyone struggling with a hurt, hang-up or habit.
Doors open at 6 p.m. Admission is free.
The event will be held in the main sanctuary at Canyon Lake Community Church located at 30515 Railroad Canyon Road, Canyon Lake.
