A woman was assaulted by three men who forced their way into her home on Thursday July 19 at about 2:30 p.m., officials reported.
Officers responded to the 200 block of W. Limited Avenue and learned the female resident answered a knock at the door.
Three men told the women they were looking for her ex-boyfriend and property they said belonged to them.
The suspects then forced their way into her home and began assaulting the victim with a weapon demanding to know where her ex-boyfriend was, Sgt. David Cordoza stated in a report.
The victim was made to call her ex-boyfriend while being held against her will. The suspects had a brief conversation with the ex-boyfriend and then fled in a silver or grey 4-door sedan.
The suspects are described as Hispanic adults with shaved heads in their mid-twenties with tattoos.
Officers scoured the area looking for the men but did not locate them, a Riverside County Sheriff’s press release stated.
Anyone with additional information regarding this crime is urged to call the Lake Elsinore Police Department at 951-245-3300.
