Palm Desert: Motorist runs over jogger and crashes into house

Update: The Riverside County Coroner’s office released the name of the man who died after a string of traffic collisions. Terry Lagorio, 62, was pronounced dead after being transported to Eisenhower Medical Center.

A man who was involved in a string of crashes died after being transported to Eisenhower Medical Center, officials reported.

Officers from the Palm Desert Police Department responded to the Palm Desert Country Club regarding multiple collisions on Friday, July 20 at 6:20 a.m.

The driverof the Toyota truck, a 62-year-old male, initially struck a female jogger before veering off the roadway and damaging landscaping at a home. He then drove off on California Drive, Deputy Angel Ramos stated.

The driver continued toward Tennessee and Kentucky Avenues where he crashed into a parked car before plowing into a house.

The jogger was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The owner of the home was home at the time of the crash and was uninjured, Deputy Ramos added.

The driver was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
