Temecula Community Services to host resource fair

The Temecula Special Needs Community Resource & Wellness Fair is planned from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Aug. 11 at the Temecula Conference Center, located at 41000 Main Street, it was recently announced.

Hosted by the Temecula Community Services Department and co-sponsored by Neighborhood Healthcare, Inland Regional Center, and Our Nicholas Foundation, the Temecula Special Needs Community Resource & Wellness Fair welcomes families, caregivers, and professionals from the community.

With over 50 agencies participating in the resource fair, attendees will have the opportunity to gather valuable information on resources, products and services available for families and caregivers of children and adults with developmental, behavioral, emotional, and/or physical disabilities.

Some of the organizations include:

  • The Braille Institute of America’s Mobile Solutions van will be offering low visions wellness services, including free one-on-one consultations with a Low Vision Specialists.
  • HeartBeats Drum Circles will be providing a free demonstration of therapeutic drumming, with an opportunity for members of the audience to participate.
  • Neighborhood Healthcare will be on hand to provide free health screenings.
  • The Autism Discovery Institute at Rady Children’s Hospital will have valuable information on early assessment, diagnoses, and intervention techniques.
