A statement released by UltraStar Cinemas in Temecula promises movie-goers that efforts are currently underway to partner with law enforcement to ensure safety at local theaters. It also urges film fans to leave the costumes and other movie props at home.

“We are deeply saddened by the tragic events that took place last night in Colorado. Our hearts and prayers are with the families of those who lost loved ones, and those who were injured.
The safety of our staff and guests is always a top priority for us, and we strive to maintain a secure and safe environment at all our locations at all times.
UltraStar Cinemas is currently speaking with local law enforcement agencies and experts to determine the best course of action and appropriate measures to address safety concerns.
