Temecula’s summer nights heat up with cool sounds

Temecula’s Hot Summer Nights are set to sizzle when the Celtic Bluegrass group Sligo Rags performs from 7 to 10 p.m. on July 27 at Baily’s Courtyard, it was recently announced.

Named one of the top acoustic bands in L.A. by “Folkworks Magazine,” Sligo Rags won the Orange County Music Award for Best Folk Band twice.

Playing original and traditional Irish, Bluegrass and Celtic tunes with a rock twist, Sligo Rags turns rock fans into jig-dancing Irish music buffs.

Also performing Friday, July 27 are The Silver Beatles who will perform Beatles tunes at Sweet Lumpy’s, Open Road with Ken Rice on sax and a big sound at the Main Street parking lot near Serendipity, and the Fallbrook Chamber Orchestra at Tesoro Winery.

Dynamite Dave will also be in Old Town Temecula making his balloon creations.

Temecula Carriages will also offer rides for a fee during Hot Summer Nights.
