San Diego: Man injured jumping off cliffs at Sunset Cliffs

A 25-year-old man was injured in a jump into the ocean from Sunset Cliffs and was airlifted to a hospital by a San Diego Fire and Rescue helicopter on Sunday July 22.

It was unclear how the man injured himself. Lifeguards believe that he either hit the cliffs as he came down or landed on another person, San Diego Lifeguard Lt. Andy Lerum said.

Only one person was reported injured and the extend to his injuries was not known, Lerum said.
