If you’ve got the pipes, then it’s time to bust out a song and let it ring when the West Coast Country Music Association (WCCMA) hosts the 3rd Annual “Hot August Country” vocalist competition from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on August 25 at Promenade Temecula.

Winners of the competition will eligible to represent the WCCMA and the state of California in March 2013 at the North American Country Music Association International competition in Tennessee.
The WCCMA is seeking solo acts, duos and groups to compete in new and traditional country, bluegrass and gospel music.
Age categories are 7-12, 13-16, 17-20, and adult for male and female performers. Performers that place first and second in their categories will be eligible for the trip to Tennessee.
The competition is open to the public and each person that enters will receive a “Performer” membership in the WCCMA. Each entry into the competition will be put into a raffle for tickets to the PBR Rodeo at Pala Casino.
Past winners of the Hot August Country Vocalist competition include The Brewer Boys, Hayley Stayner, Lindsey Carrier & Kaitlyn Weathers (Painted Daizies), Alaina Blair, Kanan Road, Maddie Wichterman, Olivia Rodrigo, Marissa Ball, Randi Johnson, Brooke & Bridget Parish, Carly Merlo, Celia Ward, Jessica Tourino, Cherish Nunnelly, Corey McCoy, Brianna Parish, Anastasia Geges and Rick Simpson.
