Rich culture in the form of art, music, Bollywood and the smells of Indian food greets your senses as you walk through the doors of this Rancho Cucamonga favorite.

True to its name Koyla, which means coal, is patiently cooked over charcoal, which exudes the aroma of cinnamon and cloves, a hint of garlic and the whisper of saffron. After a long and slow process, the meal is served.

At Koyla, interpretation of the recipes were handed down through the roots of the chef’s family and perfected in the open kitchen.

The owner’s belief is that Indian cooking is based on three main factors:  Choice of ingredients, proportions, quantities and most importantly, the timing of adding the ingredients during cooking.

Created by entrepreneur Deep Singh, Koyla offers northern frontier cuisine coupled with a unique and relaxing bucolic environment.

The contemporary presentation of the dishes and the restaurants seating gives diners a feel of the traditional Indian style of eating.

The extensive menu features selections of lamb, Chicken Tikka Masalas, seafood, Tandoor and many others. Hara Bhara Chicken, Achari Panner, Murg Tikka, and several styles of Indian bread–Naan–are customer favorites.

The weekend buffet brunch also serves a range of basmati rice, samosa, assorted Pakora, soups of the day, Palak Paneer, Dal Maharani, Navratan Biryani, Navratan Korma, goat curry, Lamb Karahi, Chicken Tikka Masala, Gulab Jamun, kheer, fresh fruits, full salad bar, condiments, and fresh bread on the table (choice of plain, garlic, or garlic chili naan). Champagne or Lassies are also included.

Owner, Deep Singh worked for more than a decade watching chefs create countless creations, and experimenting to further tweak those recipes.  He then went on to create his own take on Indian cuisine favorites and Koyla Charcoal Authentic Indian Restaurant was born.
