A 21-year-old man struck by a car while running across a Moreno Valley street was fatally injured, a sheriff’s spokesman said today.
Daylon Woods of Moreno Valley tried to cross Perris Boulevard, just south of Filaree Avenue, about 11:45 p.m. Friday when he was hit by a vehicle heading south and thrown onto the sidewalk, according to sheriff’s Sgt. Lee Tainter.
Woods was taken to Riverside County Regional Medical Center with multiple fractures and a head injury, and declared dead at 5:57 a.m., according to police and the county coroner.
